I disagree to one point. A MMORPG like EVE is NOT a game anymore when you spend max. of your rl time for it.
From that fact CCP also have to understand that +beeing addicted½ to a game like that is affecting the person behind a character like Ginger in a special way. Also emotional.

We have to discuss the dark side of that kind of games very serious. The most people in EVE who are ruling bigger stuff or are very sucessful need to be in that game as much as possible. At a special border it's not a hobby anymore. It's some kind of addiction to it.

I am for myself can't just log when I lost 200 Million due a kill and go back to normal reallife. All those ISK had need rl time to earn them. So it takes a while to calm down and accept: just a game. Hard sometimes.

But someone behind Ginger who lives in that game for a long time now can't really see it as a pure game anymore.
That's probably the reason for his extreme emotional behaviour which forces CCP of course to ban them due EULA.

But if CCP also understand the fact that MMORPG's can force a special kind of addiction and that it's not really normal at the end that people spend 12 hours or more a day rl time for EVE ... CCP must rethink their rules. It's not that simple to say: it's just a game.

Well, Ginger is a bad guy no doubt. But others are much worse and still happily annoy everyone and their cat.

I would like to suggest that he asks his banning lifted and 2-3 months or so. Maybe the powers that are will have mercy upon him.

I am not sure who made the ban, but he can ask always a senior GM about it and if this measure was appropriate for that situation.

Ginger should give up and play another game. The OP was designed to put pressure on CCP to unban for making what he believes is the wrong decision, ie to ban ginger. My view on this is that if he really did make a RL threat he should be banned premanately along with all his ALTs, including Crom - who should stop pretending to be someone other than ginger. He has already been banned and unbanned and obviously knows how to manipulate CCP. Why should anyone get away with this just because he was high on the "ego-meter". Scamming is not something that I agree with nor is RL threats but I think this is funny that such a smacktalking greeedy CEO got what he deserved so well done Miz-buy something nice. In short, CCP don't be silly and unban a sly manipulative child who has acted stupidly for a long time. Ban his ALT's and be done with him. Im pretty sure im not the only one who wants to see him punished in the same way others would be who are not epeen warriors.

As it stands Ginger is still banned and is unable to petition because he cannot access any aspect of the eve web site cause his account is banned.He has replied to the ban email sent to his email address but has not received any response so far.
If anyone has any further suggestions that would be appreciated.The chat logs of this incident have been saved and ofc it is wrong to ask for special favours for any character but I dont think many other characters in Eve would generate a 9 page and counting thread about one incident.
I feel that more then one GM needs to look at this in any event.

I joined October Snow approximately ten days ago. I knew the corp policy of all loot going to corp wallet. As far as I know, whenever I or anyone else lost a ship, Ginger immediately replaced it; that is the main reason why I joined SNOWY. Yes, Ginger does have an ego, but practically every ceo of a major corp does. In addition, I got to know Ginger on Vent, and I must say that I enjoyed talking with him. He is not an awful person who deserves ridicule and condemnation. Furthermore, I think this is a sad day for all of Eve. This is not a day to rejoice, but to mourn. One of the oldest and most infamous pirate corps in EvE has been seriously hurt. In the end, all I know is that I enjoyed camping and killing carebears with Ginger and the other members of October Snow. I even enjoyed camping with Miz while he was a loyal member. I just hate to see characters and corps be put down like an animal. I wish all the pirate corps in eve the best of luck, even the folks at KLEPTO. Remember, Eve is about fun and community - and sometimes a community must forgive those who may lose their cool at times.
